The Lions Kidney Educational Centre and Research Foundation (LKEC) was founded as a registered charitable organization in Hong Kong in 1991. LKEC is dedicated to educating the public in preventing kidney disease through health promotion and providing low-cost, high-quality haemodialysis services to kidney patients facing financial difficulties. LKEC operates four renal dialysis centres: three located at the G\/F and 1\/F of Tai Hing Building, 132 Un Chau Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon, and a fourth located at the G\/F of Hong Shing Building, 13\u201315 Sui On Street, Tai Po, New Territories. These four centres operate a total of 61 haemodialysis machines, providing over 27,000 haemodialysis sessions annually. From inception till now, LKEC has delivered more than 480,000 haemodialysis sessions. Hence, LKEC is the largest charitable haemodialysis provider in Hong Kong. LKEC is currently preparing to renovate a fifth centre in Yuen Long District to serve more patients in need. As we receive no direct government subsidies, our daily operating expenses, medical equipment procurement, and service expansions rely entirely on public fundraising and community support. We remain fully committed to our mission of providing high-quality, affordable haemodialysis services to needy end-stage renal disease patients in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
